Dreaming of the Next Adventure.
In the midst of this global pandemic we’re all facing together around the world, I am so grateful that myself and my family, friends are in good health, that both my husband and I at this point have job security, and that we’ve been able to keep our house stocked with fresh groceries. My stay at home order looks a lot different than many’s so definitely don’t want to down play that or be insensitive to other people’s situations.
Outside of jeans, sneakers and sweatshirts, I haven’t really gotten dressed or ‘styled’ an outfit in weeks, over six of them to be exact. Yesterday I really got dressed for the first time and took this Faithfull the Brand dress I purchased off Poshmark for a spin - really just to try to feel ‘normal’ for a minute, shoot some photos and cook lunch. This dress along with many other pieces were items I thrifted or purchased from Poshmark for our trip to Italy. We were supposed to be arriving in Venice next Monday morning for nine days touring the country. I’ll admit I’ve been a little heartbroken - this is the biggest vacation Andrew and I have ever planned, but after a brief mourning period, I’m trying to make the most of it. By wearing some of the clothes, and next week I’ve decided I’m brining Italy to us; and have our own little tour de Italy from home with daily odes to the country and dreaming about a time when we will once again be able to plan another adventure.
