The Fall Transition Part 2: Lightweight Sweaters.
Happy Friday friends! My second bit of advice for you in making the Fall transition is a great way to restyle your favorite summer dresses and carry them into the cooler season. The answer, lightweight, open knit sweaters. Once again sweaters are the easiest way to add that bit of texture and dimension that we all crave from fall styling, and the easiest way to do this is by throwing one on over one of your favorite dresses. Whether long or short it's a fun way to freshen up your dresses, basically transforming them in to skirts and pairing them with a more neutral color will help tone them down to make them fall appropriate. It's also a great way to play around with accessories whether you're adding belts to help create a waist or layering on a scarf. I paired this boxy Mango sweater over a Cleobella Wrap dress and just tucked part of the sweater into the the wrap belt of the dress to accentuate my waist a bit. Not only does it give the dress a less summery vibe it's also a great way to stay cozy as the evenings cool down. Now, just picture this look with ankle boots and a wide brim hat. You feel me?
I've linked some great lightweight sweaters below to add to your end of summer closet!
