Spring 2019 Trends I'm Here For.

Spring is finally here friends! Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful Saturday with the sun shining and temperatures well into the 70s. I wore this recycled fashion ensemble including this The Odell’s dress I found at Clothes Mentor, Vintage Nordstrom jacket from Goodwill and Vince. slide sandals from Reciprocity. Getting dressed today for higher temps has me all kinds of excited for Spring fashion and I wanted to share some trends I’m really excited about and pieces I’m going to be on the look out for to add to my closet this season.

  • Belt Bags - First trend I’m loving and one I’ve already ‘invested’ in is belt bags. I bought this Anthropologie bag right before we left for Chicago and it was such a game changer to have this for traveling. I love that it can be worn slung like I have it below or actually around your waist like a belt or fanny pack. So feeling this trend - will love it for traveling this summer, concerts and night’s on the town!

  • Tie-Dye - That’s right I’m jumping on the tie dye train. But what I love about this trend is you can take it as far or as subtly as you’d like. You can go full on R13 Runway totally psychedelic or a more quiet approach like the watercolor Christian Dior patterns.

  • Monochrome Neutral Dressing - I want to thank Harling Ross of Man Repeller for this one, her initiation of the Instagram trend stick of butter dressing has me feeling all the feels for head to tone monochrome looks in a range of soft yellows to tans.

  • Color Blocked Outfits - You probably all remember when colorblocked pieces were super trendy about 6 years ago. Well I’m loving the idea of not just one piece of colorblocking but using your pieces to create an overall colorblocked look. Prabal Gurung’s ready to wear collection executed this perfectly. Especially loving a red/coral, red/orange combo. May try to get out of my comfort zone for Summer and even try this with some fun, contrasting neons (another big trend for Spring).

  • Utility Styles - I’m not sure this trend every really goes away and ya’ll know I love a good utility piece. This Lacausa Jumpsuit is number one on my wishlist for Spring 19.

  • Poet Sleeves - Ruffles and oversized sleeves have been going full force for a few seasons and I am here for it! Hoping to find some great vintage blouses in my thrifting adventures with fun statement, balloon sleeves and victorian details.
