To Wear Velvet?

To Wear Velvet?

Velvet was a fabric we saw everywhere the past few months, right through Christmas and New Years but then right after the 1st of the year it seemed like velvet along with other winter fabrics like chenille and eyelash seemed to disappear. January seems to bring a time of a lot of change for people it's a new year, we are all setting new goals and maybe reinventing ourselves to an extent and I'll admit I too had a couple of weeks where I wasn't sure what I wanted to be wearing. Was I ready for Spring trends? Did I want to scoop up some winter pieces from all the New Year sales? What trends was I even into anymore?! Well that feeling has since passed, after about two weeks of style hibernating where all I really wanted to wear was cozy sweaters and skinny jeans I realized it's okay to still be wearing our pre-holiday styles. It is still winter folks, which means cold and way to early to start busting out spring fashion. So why not continue to wear your little velvet mini or your favorite chenille turtleneck? It may be a new year but it's not quite a new season, so for a few more weeks at least I'll be continuing to wear these velvet, Uniqlo wide legs I scooped up on super sale after Christmas.
