Flower Field Fun.

For years my mom, who still lives in Ohio, has been wanting to visit the Carlsbad flower fields when she visits. For whatever reason we've never made it, either we had too many other activities planned, or because timing (they only bloom a couple months of the year).  Finally my sister and I made the trek on Thursday, just days before they closed for the season. I wore this Free People dress I've had sitting in my closet for almost a year which I thought was entirely appropriate for a day frolicking through flowers. It is all one piece, entirely connected in the back, but I was channeling the two-piece matching set trend happening now. My sister thought I looked like I jumped out of the Sound of Music..not necessarily a bad thing.  Hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day, if you're in the SoCal area, maybe take mom down the fields CLOSE TODAY!
